We have had a wonderful first week with students! It is great to be back in school creating our classroom community and getting to know each other after such a long time apart. The two third grade homerooms are eager to have an adventure together, and we will be hiking Mount Peg on Thursday and Friday of this week (9/17 and 9/18).
Please send your student to school with a water bottle, bagged lunch, comfortable walking shoes and layers for changing weather. We will leave around 11am and return to the school by dismissal.
This trip will be the kick-off for our first science unit on weather and climate. We will bring rain gauges and thermometers with us, and start logging cloud types and temperature. We are looking forward to exploring the outdoors with these budding meteorologists!
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Best,
Kelley Boymer and Jen Mayo
